These terms govern your use of writeremote.com (“WriteRemote”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, creating an account or posting a job, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use WriteRemote.

1. What WriteRemote is

WriteRemote lists remote writing jobs open to people in the United States. Listings come from employers who post directly and from public applicant tracking systems. We are not an employer, recruiter or staffing agency, we are not party to any hiring decision, and applications happen on the employer’s own site.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 and give accurate information.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or misuse the site.

3. Job seekers

We try to list only genuine, fully remote roles open to US-based applicants, but we do not verify every listing and cannot guarantee that any job is accurate, still open, or will result in employment. Never pay a fee to apply for a job, and never share bank or identity documents before you have verified an employer. Please report suspicious listings to us.

4. Employers

• Listings must be for real, currently open, fully remote positions that US-based applicants can apply to, and must comply with applicable employment and anti-discrimination laws.
• You may not post misleading, unlawful, multi-level marketing, commission-only “opportunities” presented as salaried jobs, or listings that ask applicants for payment.
• You grant us permission to display, format and share your listing (including your company name and logo) on WriteRemote and in links shared from it.
• We may edit for formatting, or reject or remove a listing that breaks these terms. Listings removed for breaking these terms are not refunded.

5. Payments and refunds

Standard listings cost $19 and run for 45 days; Featured listings cost $99 and run for 90 days. Prices are in US dollars and charged once through Stripe at checkout; listings do not renew automatically. A listing goes live once payment is confirmed. If your listing does not go live because of a problem on our side, contact us within 14 days for a full refund. Otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a listing is live.

6. Acceptable use

Do not scrape or bulk-download the site, interfere with its operation, try to access other people’s accounts, get around security measures such as the captcha, or use WriteRemote to send spam.

7. Content and trademarks

The WriteRemote name, design and software belong to us. Job listings belong to the employers who wrote them. Company names and logos are trademarks of their owners and are shown only to identify the employer.

8. Third-party sites

Apply buttons and other links take you to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.

9. Disclaimers

WriteRemote is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WriteRemote will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or opportunities, arising from your use of the site or any listing. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the changes. You may stop using WriteRemote and ask us to delete your account at any time.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which WriteRemote’s operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
